Replaces my stock with a 7 in. double din. Trim covered up the semi-circles. This is an all-plastic set. If installed correctly, it looks nice. The pocket is a nice touch but is about half the volume of the factory one that I replaced. Glad to have it though- but it does not fit my iPhone 8. Be careful when installing as plastic tabs hold the trim in place and if the break when installing it will not sit flush. For the record, I did not break mine, but I can see how it could easily be done. The template worked great! I used a jigsaw to cut the plastic and it turned out perfect with the supplied template. I am so happy with the results! I must admit that I was stressed out about cutting my stock trim stereo panel to accommodate the double din trim, but it worked out! I'm glad I made the switch.TIP-Keep your stereo mounting screws for the reinstallation of new stereo plastic brackets. The screws provided do not fit the bracket mounts on my Dodge but they did fit the stereo to attach the brackets...just keep and reuse the 4 black stereo mount screws. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect (almost) for mounting a Pioneer AVH-X390BS into my 2007 Ram Laramie *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2017* The template itself is worth almost the entire price by itself. At first I was only going to rate it 4 stars for two reasons:(1) The top tabs of the frame were offset a little from the slots in my dash piece, so I had to dremel-grind about an eighth inch off the side of each tab to get them to fit. Even then they didn't snap 100% into place, and in the finished install the top of the frame protrudes slightly downward. But it isn't noticeable at all, it seems firmly attached, and grinding the edges off the tabs took less than five minutes.(2) The pocket is smallish in every dimension. I understand why it isn't as tall as the original, but it doesn't need to be a whole inch narrower or so much shallower than the original.But even with those drawbacks, I can only rave about this dash kit. First, with the template snapped in place I had all the trimming done inside of 10 minutes, no muss, no fuss, it was that quick and simple. Second, the kit frame snapped easily enough into my dash frame. Third, even though there isn't nearly enough horizontal adjustment in the mounting brackets, (with the brackets slid all the way back) my Pioneer radio fit snugly on the first try. And with that I was practically flabbergasted and 100% pleased. And finally, the frame in this kit fit the front bezel of my Pioneer AVH-X390BS almost perfectly, and it looks great. Thus the 5 stars, even with the minor issues described above.I had returned two previous dash kits because of very poor fit for both my dash and the radio. No idea why it's so hard to get it right. But this "Best Kit" does get it right. It was a very pleasant surprise and a very adequate solution all around.
