They work fine for the 7805s. Here I’m dropping 9ish volts to 2 volts at about 0.3A so it’s dissipating roughly 2 watts. This heat sink kept the case temp at roughly 81C with about 22C ambient. The third image where I circled with the red is where I took the case temp. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps mosfets cool *by J***N on August 23, 2020* Had a small project that is using the L7805cv 5v regulator. This chip is not really known for efficiency, so even at a few milliamperes it gets hot to the touch. This heatshink seemed like the best option out there. The build quality is good and it tightens down nice. Some mentioned that this will not work with breadboards, I was not able to remove the support pin, but I was able to bend it.
