The connectors on the ends of the pivoting clamp are 5/8" sockets. You will need a 5/8" spigot that has threads to attach to your tripod (there's one on Amazon if you search for Caltar Adapter Spigot). You screw the spigot onto your tripod's threads and then clamp this piece into the bottom of the clamp. This clamp may have come with a spigot like this, but I don't remember.For positioning a reflector, using a tripod is best - most light stands are heavy enough to hold a reflector at an angle.
