I used it to take a look at my brake pads and see how much life they have left in them. It worked great. The directed beam really highlighted the area I was looking at and the brightness is pretty good. Given its small size it was easy to clip on and off of my belt to take a good look at things. Since then, its my go to while I'm working around my garage and I need to take a closer look at things. One thing I find it really useful for is finding small screws and bolts that I've dropped on my floor. I've dropped it, accidently smacked it with my foot, got it with carb clean and brake clean, and it still works fine. I also have yet to change the batteries. I'd definitely purchase this light again.
