**Q: There is a type m, but the description says there is no large south african plug. the m plug by definition is a large one. this is confusing, clarify!**
A: The description states that the universal input socket on these adapters will not accept the Type M S. Africa plug. The kit includes the S. Africa plug adapter for the S. African Type M outlets.

**Q: Will these adapters charge a 2017 MacBook Pro 15 inch?**
A: These adapters allow you to make a physical connection to the existing electrical outlet configuration. I bought a universal surge protector strip to connect in between. You need to look at the transformer that comes with your devices. My CPAP machine was 240 to 110 volts, so was my iPhone and Kindle chargers, so I had no issues. Devices that require 120V +/- (curling irons, hair dryers, electric razors) will require this set plus a step-down transformer as a solid state converter will not be able to handle the load.

**Q: How much current can these safely handle?  What is the minimum gauge of the internal circuits?**
A: 10A

**Q: will these adaptors work for vietnam?**
A: It should as you have one of each letter available.  You can find an electrical outlet guide by country on the web.  Vietnam uses A, C and F outlets.  You would want to bring all three which are included in the set.

To be honest I have only used the New Zealand angled pin adapter so far, but no issues plugging a US 3 pin device into it, nor plugging the adapter into 20+ different hostel wall sockets. No problems with it being loose or having to hammer it in. You can buy multi-country all-in-one adapters which are bigger than any single adapter in this kit but which might save a bit of space if you really are traveling to all those countries and have to take the whole kit. For most people who are only going on trip requiring one adapter I think these adapters are less finicky and will take up less space than a world adapter. Note I mentioned a grounded, 3 pin plug. I already had a kit like this one but I have one device with a grounded plug and this kit meet those needs. If you all you have are 2 pins you could get slightly lighter and smaller adapters. Realize too that most travel electronics these days can adapt to a range of voltages and all you need for travel are socket adapters, not transformers. I saw several people on my last trip who had smartphones plugged into large transformers when all they really needed was much smaller adapter like the ones in this kit. Travel tip: I used my adapter in conjunction with a Monster travel powerstrip with 12" cable, also sold by Amazon. It allowed me to plug largish battery chargers for my cameras into a 4 socket powerstrip with US sockets, so I only needed one NZ plug adapter for using up to US 4 devices.
