It does not give me the back support I was hoping for, yet it feels sturdy enough to hold my weight. **Q: ground to seat top dimensions. Width & D of seat** A: I don't have the chair with me so I can't measure it.General impressions- this chair doesn't sag like most, the seat and back are tight so it is like sitting on a firm kitchen chair. This feature also tends to make it feel wider, and taller. The seat itself is 2-3" wider and deeper than a standard camping chair, and retains that dimension because of the lock feature which stops it from conforming/ collapsing when you sit. Overall it looks bigger than most chairs, and definitely acts bigger. Sorry I can't provide specific dimensions. I have a 38" waist and can clear the sides in uniform wearing a gun belt with gun, radio, cuffs etc hanging off to the sides. **Q: How bulky is this chair when folded up? I want to walk around town carrying it in shops and restaurants.** A: You might have a problem. It’s fairly bulky and not light. I am a big guy and the strap was not quite long enough for comfortable slinging across the back. It’s sturdy and solid but more for a carry from the car to the area you’re going to use it rather than to be carried around town **Q: chair weight in lbs.** A: I couldn't tell you the weight other than its no different than any other folding chair biting can tell you that this is one of the best chairs I have ever sat in. Everyone at the barn lives it and they fight as to who will sit in it during horse shows. Buy it. You really will not regret it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Apenas para GRANDES *by on Reviewed in Mexico 16 September 2017* Alta y resistente... x lo tanto debe ser un poco estorbosa y pesada... mido 1.90 y peso 135kg así q si me aguantó, a la mayoría tmb ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is the best heavy duty folding chair I've found so far *by on Reviewed in the United States 4 June 2017* This is the best heavy duty folding chair I've found so far. Yeah, they cost a little more but this is the second one I've bought. If you use them right, you'll have no problems working the locking device on these chairs. Every time I take mine somewhere and get up to get a drink, I come back to find someone else sitting in it. I am a big guy and have back trouble. This is the easiest chair I've found that I can get up out of without asking someone for a" lift". I bought my first one about a year ago and use it all the time. It works great so this is my second purchase of this chair and just ordered a third one. They are a bit heavier to carry but worth it for the stability and ease of getting in and out of it. Nice wide feet to keep it from sinking in soft grass. I'm going to keep one at hunting camp, one at home, and the third for when I get up and come back finding someone else sitting in "my chair" I love it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lasted almost ten years!!! *by on Reviewed in the United States 26 August 2026* I bought this chair in 2017 when I was recovering from a broken leg and thoroughly enjoyed it until tonight almost ten years later. It has spent moat of its days as a clothes rack in my bedroom and saw light use off and on and didnt spend alot of time outdoors. As ive gotten heavier it still supported me however i could feel the bars under my thighs. So long old friend. its about time for a new one! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/259816708-xxl-dual-lock-portable-camping-chair-supports-up-to-400lbs](https://www.desertcart.us/products/259816708-xxl-dual-lock-portable-camping-chair-supports-up-to-400lbs) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
