Needless to say if I wanted the 7-8 inch lamp I would have ordered it. Also, when I unwrapped the lamp the bulb inside had shattered in transit and a shower of glass shards fell out; luckily this had happened to another reviewer (who bought a different size lamp) so I was forewarned. If the lamp I received had been the size I had paid for I would have given this lamp five stars.Edit: the company contacted me and gave me a partial refund because the lamp was the wrong size.
