Pro Iron 15.75 Inch Chrome Dumbbell Bar Diameter 1.125 Inch

These dumbbells are very well made....no sharp edges,comfortable knurling, and long enough to accommodate enough weight for just about anyone. I have 3 sets of bars, and these are the best of the lot.The seller sent the quickly, via USPS, free of charge.

bought 2 sets and returned both. poor quality control. the problem is with the collars. first set had a collar with rust and the chrome finish was peeling off. the second set had a collar with rust and another collar that was very pitted and should have been rejected at the factory. the advantage to a 15.75 inch handle is that you can load more plates onto it. it is thicker in diameter but it works with all 3 brands of plates that I have (IVANKO,USA SPORTS by TROY BARBELL and CAP BARBELL) the first brand (Unipack Inc) of 15.75 inch handles that I ordered had no issues, but is sold out unfortunately.if they become available again I'll order another set of theirs. until then I'll just have one set. UPDATE: ON MAY 22nd, 2017 I PURCHASED ANOTHER SET FROM Pro TEK AND HAD ISSUES AGAIN. POOR QUALITY. THE FINISH IS TERRIBLE. THERE WAS RUST ON BOTH HANDLES. THERE WERE A FEW COLLARS AGAIN WITH THE CHROME CHIPPED OFF WITH RUST SHOWING THROUGH. THE COLLARS ALSO HAVE A LOT OF PLAY. Pro TEK SENT ME A RETURN LABEL THAT WAS NOT PREPAID. IT COST ME $17.10 TO SHIP IT BACK TO GET A $27.95 REFUND. I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM Pro TEK AGAIN. THE FIRST 2 TIMES THESE WERE FULFILLED BY AMAZON SO IT DID NOT COST ME TO SHIP THOSE BACK. ( BUY THESE INSTEAD FROM Unipack Inc. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THE QUALITY. WHEN YOU BUY THEM FROM Unipack Inc THE OVERALL QUALITY IS SUPERIOR. THERE IS NO RUST ON THE HANDLES AND THE COLLARS FIT MUCH BETTER. THE COLLARS DO NOT HAVE THE EXTRA PLAY. THEIR COLLARS ARE NOT AS WIDE AS THOSE FROM Pro TEK. IF YOU COMPARE THE 2 BRANDS SIDE BY SIDE AS I HAVE MORE THAN ONCE, THE DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY IS OBVIOUS.)

Easy to switch out the weights. I haven't noticed any paint chipping. They did have a smell initially but it wasn't to strong and faded away after a couple of weeks.

Works well for the price.

the product is nice I would have like to be able to use them but the diameter of the bar is too big for my weights. so there no use to me and if your weights don't have 1.25" diameter hole in them I wouldn't purchase this product. So now if I send them back I have to pay shipping and a 10% restocking fee.

Do not buy the handles without buying their plates. The 1.125'" size is not a standard, so almost none of my current plates will fit the handles. I've been a trainer part time for body building during my 30's and 40's and still workout at 60, so I know my equipment. I only wanted a better quality handle. I really got the run around until they finally told me to reurn the handles and they will give me a refund. My time and the cost of shipping (10 pounds) would not be worth the net refund. The 1" standard plates by York, Gold's and CAP are 1" and the other industry standard is Olympic size. Next time I'll pay more attention to detail in the desciption. It is a way to force you into buyng their weights

The 1.125 inch diameter means most plates you find on Amazon ( or anywhere really ) will not actually fit these bars. The company that made these made their own size so people would purchase their own plates, but the problem is they are now nearly defunct and so 1.125 inch weight plates can be difficult to find. This product honestly is going to be useless for 99% of people who buy it. Unless you know that 1.125 inch bars is exactly what you need and you are very specifically looking for this very specific size ( Which is uncommon ) you will find yourself with equipment that functions as little more than a paperweight. DO NOT BUY.
