**Q: Can just two people play?**
A: Yes!

**Q: Is this game the same as Trekking the National Parks, just with different destinations?**
A: The two games are based on the same general system, but there are lots of differences. Here are the biggest:

MOVEMENT - in both games, you move from location to location, picking up items. The difference: in Trekking the World, you must move on every turn. This deepens the route-management puzzle, and rewards clever route-making more often.

REGION BONUS - Trekking the National Parks ends when the last stone is removed from the map. The spirit of this rule remains in Trekking the World, but in a new form: the world map is divided into six regions. A player who gets the last souvenir in a region gets a face-down region bonus with a hidden number of points on it. When any 5 of the 6 region bonuses are taken, the game ends. This bonus system has two effects:

1. It’s a more reliable game timer.

2. It creates a new strategic wrinkle: you must now angle for region bonuses, as well as deny your opponents access, on top of your other goals.

MOST SOUVENIRS - In both games you earn bonuses for having the most of a particular item-type. Trekking the National Parks awards them at the end of the game. Trekking the World awards them during the game, and players can steal them from each other by collecting more items. Once you get a bonus, you must figure out how to keep it (or strategically sacrifice it), while pursuing your other goals. Strategy can change a lot game-to-game depending on the competition for these bonuses.

SUITCASES - Trekking the National Parks didn’t have suitcases. Trekking the World does. A suitcase is a player-board where you store your collection of Souvenirs. Each player has one. It rewards players at the end of the game for gathering specific sets of souvenir-types. The more of these sets you collect, the bigger your payout at game’s end.

JOURNEY CARDS - Trekking the National Parks didn’t have Journey Cards, Trekking the World does. Before each play, you draw two Journey Cards at random from a deck, and they will be permanent fixtures of that play. They offer optional actions that are both powerful and expensive, like lowering the cost of destinations, or allowing you to swap your location with another player’s. Journey cards can have a major effect on strategy from game-to-game.

**Q: See a lot of great reviews for kids... would it be too easy/ boring for adults?**
A: It does not become boring because the "journey cards" change from game to game.  It's 90% planning/execution and 10% luck.  It's a great game.

**Q: How long is an average game?**
A: It probably depends on the number of players. Even learning the game, we finish 2 player games in less than 30 minutes.
