Review: Bravo! - The Vekkia music stand is first rate. The stand is easy to assemble and has a very solid feel. It can telescope up to a height comfortable for a standing 6' adult, Though solid, when it is folded for transport it feels light, given its even weight distribution. The shelf has an interesting extension feature that should accommodate even large books. The included carrying case also is of high quality. Very happy with this purchase and will likely buy another for our in-house rehearsal space.

I was carrying around my Manhasset stand for years because I liked the sturdiness of it, but got so tired of its size and lack of portability. This stand is great--sturdy, can even hold an iPad and is so portable because it folds up easily and has its own carrying case. And is pretty easy to put together. I'm so glad I got this! And it's tall enough so if I'm standing up singing, I'll still be able to see my music. I'm 5'6" so hope that helps someone else out. Great value for the cost.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How well is the bag constructed?**
A: It seems sturdy . It is holding up well. I have now switched to a larger bag that would hold some other accessories as well. The backs of good quality.

**Q: Do the sheet clips keep their tension?**
A: I have not seen any reduction in tension but I have only had the stand for about 6 months. I do generally have about a half inch stack of music on the stand and the clips still hold fine. I have had as much as an inch and a half book on the stand which is secure with the clips.

**Q: Are the hinged joints metal or plastic?**
A: Everything is metal and there aren't any hinged joints. If you're referring to the 2 parts of the music holder, they go together by having knobs on the top part - fit through holes in the bottom part, then tighten by turning a (Ok... plastic) knob.

**Q: Some people say the stand is plastic, others metal.  Which is it?**
A: The stand and music holder are metal. The knobs that adjust height, etc. are plastic. We’ve had ours for a couple months and our cats have not yet knocked it over.

I highly recommend this stand. I was carrying around my Manhasset stand for years because I liked the sturdiness of it, but got so tired of its size and lack of portability. This stand is great--sturdy, can even hold an iPad and is so portable because it folds up easily and has its own carrying case. And is pretty easy to put together. I'm so glad I got this! And it's tall enough so if I'm standing up singing, I'll still be able to see my music. I'm 5'6" so hope that helps someone else out. Great value for the cost.

I think this music stand is great. It is solid and secure. Where you actually put the music is solid but also flexible. Only took a minute to set it up.
