The new wires set are the kind that had both ends already attached at manufacturing which made it difficult to slide the sleeves over the MEI electronic distributer cap. If it was the spark Plug wire set of the kind that you can cut to size and then slide the sleeves on after crimping the ends it would have been a very easy project to slide the sleeves on the wires. Also I believe a standard coil type ignition and a ready made wire set would not have presented a problem because the distributor boots are smaller and would have slide on rather easily. I don't consider this to be a manufacturer defect however it would be helpful for the seller to note that on the instructions and on the sellers amazon posting. I am after all that trouble of getting the sleeves over the distributor end caps I am very pleased with the look and function of protecting the wires from the hot exhaust manifold.
