**Q: Can this item be cut by scissors?**
A: Yes it’s basically 4 pieces of foam

**Q: Lets say i use this on the floor of a dog cage, will it pervent vibrations from thunder through the house to the cage?**
A: To some extent.

**Q: Does it get squeezed with load of a desk? I want to raise the table height.  ?**
A: A couple of factors; the weight of your desk, and the size of the legs/pads that are bearing on the pads. Smaller contact points will probably compress the pad.  I used them where the load was fully on the entire pad surface and they worked perfectly.

In rearranging my office I wanted a table to edit audio & transcribe my 50 year old record collection. OK, I admit it, I'm a boomer. But why throw away records?  The issue was just putting a table top on two safes holding my boomer-age negative safes didn't work, as they were not even across and allowed the table to vibrate. I did some digging, and found these pads.  Two safes, about as deep as the table top, and 8 pads (two sets later) and I was done.  The cushioning is perfect to keep the table level, firm (no rocking) and absorbing vibration. That's what I use them for and they are perfect.  The material is a sturdy feel, a little "squishy" but also firm enough to support the table.
