Dude, even if you weighed 531 lbs and did that - I don't think you're hurting a Boss. Maybe don't land on the knobs in that case though eh?

Q: some reviews say this ships with no power adapter. is this true? you have to find one and buy it separately?

Not really that hard. Just search here for guitar pedal power supplies. 9V 2.1x5.5mm, center negative. Or buy a bunch of 9v batteries

Q: Im new to pedals and would like to know if this comes by itself, if it does what cables do i need?

You'll just need one guitar cable from your guitar to the pedal, and a second guitar cable from the pedal to your amp. The pedal runs on a 9v battery, which is included.

Q: Where is this pedal made?

Taiwan. It hasn't affected the quality of the pedal, or of the sound in any way. Still the best $50 distortion pedal.

Red LED not turning on

With just few months of light usage, the red LED light is not turning on anymore. Very disappointed. Circuit board also looks fixed unlike other ones Ive seen on youtube.
