These ink cartridges fit my Parler 75 fountain pen given to me in 1964. **Q: Why do I get gray (medium not dark) instead of black when I use this ink with my old 45? Could it be my pen?** A: Whenever I buy a Parker ink pen (I have +/- 2dozen, mostly unique older pens, and various rollerball, ballpoint and pencils in sets or "loose", bought because I love the design/material, Parker being an iconic brand), I take the apart and run the nib end under a warm-water faucet, holding it straight down and alternating with straight up. That flushes out old ink, especially if changing your ink color from blue-black to a classic teal or turquoise. Once you think that the inkway is clean and clear, blow on the inkway so that any residual comes out at the nib end. Let the piece air-dry over night, then blow through it again until there is no moisture dripping out. That should solve your problem. Something else: there are commercial solvents to clean up nibs and inkways, but I prefer my own inexpensive 'home remedy.' . You didn't say if you are using an inkbottle ink or a cartridge of ink. I only buy Parker/Quink unless a really exotic non-Parker ink color hits the market. But you are using Quink: take a toothpick or small item, push it to the bottom of your inkbottle and check to see if there is any thick/muddy residue, meaning that some pigment has fallen out of solution, and/or that it has been contaminated somehow; if so, don't use that ink. **Q: Can you tell me if these cartridges will fit a 60 yr old Parker jotter fountain pen?** A: Tball jotter is ballpoint. I have parker fountain pen, close to 5o years old, cartridges work fine.
