I don't use watercolor but I would assume it may be best to isolate the page for that as it would be wet. They have just enough “tooth” to make them suitable for pencil sketching but are sturdy enough for a variety of wet media. In addition, each pad comes with a vinyl sheet to prevent wet media from soaking through. I have uses alcohol based markers, watercolor brush pens, acrylic pens, and watercolor pens satisfactorily on this paper. I do not recommend this paper for pen and ink drawing but it does do well with ultra fine markers.
