Also the 1% coal tar... both of these have virtually eliminated any eczema and dandruff that I had. Also, in past research, it seemed like other people have also lost hair (initially) when using some hair care products. Could it be that the dead or dying hair strands are sloughed off for new hair growth? I really don't know. But I can say, based on my personal use, this shampoo (in particular) is one of the best, most complete shampoos I've ever used. And I will personally continue to buy and use this wonderful product. I really like the smell and how it makes my hair feel, so I give it 4 stars just for that. However, I haven't noticed any change in my hair fall or new any regrowth so I don't know if it does what it claims in that regard. I was really hoping it would help with my hair-loss but since it's not, I don't know if I'll purchase this again. There are much cheaper products out there that smell nice and make my hair feel good... UPDATE! After finishing this set I switched to a different brand for a few weeks and noticed a SIGNIFICANT increase once more in my shedding from what I had while using this product. I was only off this set for maybe a month. As stated above I never noticed much of any new growth, however perhaps it really did help with the shedding far more than I originally thought.
