To our surprise and delight, he got all the paint out of the bristles while the bristles remained intact! And, this cleanup didn't take very long. Neither of us recommends doing this to any brush, ever; but because it happened to our Purdy and we had nothing to lose by trying to clean it, we decided to try. So the brush was saved, still looks great, and is ready for the next time we paint our house.
