Glad I didn't settled for a plastic vent at my home center. Bought these to install on the gable ends of my shed. UPDATE: I realized that these particular vents are "flange front" vents designed to be stucco or sided over. That won't really work with my T 1-11 application thickness. If I want to avoid exposed screws, the manufacturer recommends to caulk the vent in place and insert a couple screws from the inside into the framing studs. Should work fine. Review: Drill holes with a metal bit - There is no attic-side securing flange, so the outer flange was needed for fastening. Thinking the metal would be thin enough, i brought up a masonry bit for the stucco behind it.
