It does smell slightly of sulfur but the intensity really depends on the person. For instance I do not have a great sense of smell so this does not bother but but if you are extremely sensitive it may be too much. This cleanser is Not a makeup remover. Directions say to apply on clean skin. I use makeup removal first to completely expose my skin to the treatment. On as side note it is important to rinse this creme off very well. It happened to me that I had some left over on my neck and I didn't notice. Oz. **Q: Is this non comedogenic?** A: It does not specifically state that it is however it has many qualities and pure ingredients so educated guess would be YES. My daughter now only uses this. She's tried many that irritated her skin & did not clear it up. We did the whole Proactive treatment as well and she got better results with Kate. But everyones skin and body's chemistry is different. Just give it a try.. for at least a few wks before comparing to other products you might've tried. You'll only harm your skin(& wallet ;) ) Good luck ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ it fricking works. *by on Reviewed in Singapore 15 February 2024* so i bought this with very little expectations but It works!!!!!!! i use it like a mask and leave it for 15-20 minutes and wash it off. my nose used to have those little black stuff not sure what it’s called. and now it’s all gone! just my annoying freckles and small little hairs. i took a zoomed in photo to show how clean it is now. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Intensive but works very well. *by on Reviewed in the United States 4 July 2026* I used this face wash as a mask on my chin to get stubborn gunk out that was visibly beneath the surface and refusing to come out. This intensive, purge-inducing face wash is great if you are prepared to not wear makeup for about a week or two. The fragrance is impressive in the way that the sulfur smell is almost completely masked. This allows the sulfur smell to be tolerable. The appearance of my skin is drastically improved when I use this wash as a mask on my chin area. It will bring on stubborn acne below the surface and allow you to deal with it accordingly so it dissipates. You just have to be careful, and ready for the purge process. I want to give this 4.5 stars. Minus .5 for the lengthy process it was and how painful the experience can be to purge if you have acne that won't come up to be healed. but I can't blame the company for that, just a warning so 5 stars.
