And Miralax - forget about it - it's the best thing on the market. When it's necessary to use a product like this, Miralax is hands-down the easiest to tolerate. Oh btw make sure you have plenty of toilet paper and baby wipes in the bathroom before you start to use this stuff. you will crap, squirt, and cry like a baby for at least 2-3 day after. **Q: How long does it take before the effect occurs?**
A: I used one packet a day. Whoa it worked a little too well where before I was constipated I took this and 3 days later I had a bowel movement 5 days later I had diarrhea. I don't know  if it has to do with my size ((5'2" 105lbs) but I went to the bathroom alot last night. I may have to cut back to every other day. So to answer your question it takes effect in about 3 days. I've tried them all ( Medimucil, Fibercon, Konsyl, Citrucel) and this is the only,thing that truly works. Hope my answer helped you.

A: No, it contains no sugar.  And has no taste to it at all.

Ever since I was a small child, I have always had issues with constipation while traveling, or in situations where I am staying with a lot of people. There is nothing like sharing a hotel room or being a guest in someone's home and constantly feeling bloated, gassy and unable to have a bowel movement. A doctor recommended MiraLax to me years ago as a remedy as I was about to visit friends out of state for ten days. After about day 3 of my vacation, my bowels did their usual thing and became completely dormant. So I decided to give this product a try. I mixed a packet of the powder in with a 16 ounce bottle of water, shook it up to allow it to disolve, I drank it, had success within less than half a day with absolutely no pain or stomach cramping, and, I no longer needed to use it during the rest my vacation. I now make a habit of packing MiraLax in my carry-on whenever I travel. This stuff really works.
