Before or after?** A: I would use it before, but not immediately before. The caffeine will will open up blood flow in the scalp, making the skin more receptive to the minoxidil. Minoxidil is drying, so it's better to use a tonic like this first, after a shower, and wait an hour (or more), and then the minoxidil. This product is intended to be applied after hairwashing; minoxidil not necessarily so. **Q: How and when to use this product?** A: After shampoo and towel dried hair. Splash it on and massage in. Feels refreshing and makes for nice combing. I havent noticed any other miracles. **Q: Will it work on dark red hair?** A: I dont think the color of your hair matters.
