WHAT’S IN THE NAME? PHOSPHATIDYLSERINE = PHOSPHAte + pepTIDE + L-SERINE. (The “Y” was just stuck in there to replace the "E" for the sake of conformity with other similar compound names). WHAT IS IT? AND WHAT DOES IT DO? ‘PS’ is a phospholipid. It contains amino acids and omega-3 fatty acids. They work together (synergistically) to construct the building blocks of the healthy cell membranes that surround all our cells. These cell membranes provide cellular structure and protection. WHAT ELSE DOES IT DO? ‘PS’ is critical to the maintenance of all cellular functions, especially in the brain. It helps to improve mental focus, memory, and cognition; it improves mood; it relieves stress by reducing cortisol levels; it can help thyroid issues, and it also boosts athletic performance! Wow! It seems the only thing this stuff doesn’t do is give us the winning lottery number! Personally, I take it almost every day together with 3 other brain “foods” for a quadruple whammy! (Choline-Inositol, L-Tyrosine, and Acetyl L-Carnitine). Believe me, it works!
