They are well over 30cm and won't fit in the narrow cupboards we have in our tiny cottage. Why not be honest? Most dinner plates used to be around 27cm/11" but we 21st century Brits generally eat larger portions than we did years ago, so for most people 30cm+ would be great, but I needed the smaller size - we are small eaters and have space issues.So, send them back and not have enough plates for the coming number of Christmas guests, or use them and then hide them out in our barn for most of the year? It seems nobody actually does make plates in the size I need, so I have a problem either way!
