**Q: Could you use the cooking grate upside-down so you have a lip to keep food from falling/rolling off?**
A: yes.  it just slips on over the pole so you could turn it either way.  good idea actually!

A: Yes it does swivel and no it does not make the support in the ground loose.  This is my second summer using this grill and I love it.

**Q: How low can you clamp the grill?**
A: The grill has a easy clamp. You can put it as high or low as needed.

**Q: Will this hold up at the beach / in sand?**
A: Yes. It should work great on the beach. The end that gets pounded into the ground has a wedge to keep it secure.
