Initially I left the old feet in place so I could do A-B testing, but there was no need. The difference is quite obvious. Separation between instruments is much better and the stereo imaging highly improves. There is much clearer width and depth in the soundstage. Even the bass seems a bit fuller. I have tried other feet in the past with mixed results. Rubber pods are awful (music loses its energy) and myrtle wooden blocks are good ('crisper' detail), but nothing had as dramatic a result as the Oreas. It may seem like a lot of money, but considering the amount of improvement in sound, it's great value for money. Do make sure you get the right model, by dividing the weight of your equipment by the number of feet you plan to use. Review: I used these on my Audioengine S8 subwoofer. It not only tightened the bass, but increased its detail and impact. It basically allows the subwoofer to be free in its driver movement. This means the speaker can be more detailed. You get a few extra beats that were otherwise muffled by saggy movement. It also cleared up vibrations traveling through the floor and to the main speakers. A relatively cheap investment for an incredible impact on sound quality! Highly reccomended! Be aware that you need to buy more than one. A minimum of three for speakers and components.
