A: Yes. Microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe.

**Q: Is this microwave safe?**
A: I believe you are able to.  The care sheet it comes with says it is a no go if there is gold or silver on the mug.  There is no gold or silver on them.  The noritake US website appears to say their dinnerware is microwave safe unless it has silver/gold.  That website also says items are dishwasher safe.  We have quite a bit of these Totoro mugs.  They are of the highest quality and bone china.  I would personally discourage using a dishwasher.
