You can use it for SCUBA as a primary second stage, or a safe-second octopus. It can also be used for surface-supplied diving. It comes with a barb-fitting adapter, but under that is a 3/8th O-ring fitting that connects to the intermediate pressure ports on any first stage regulator. It is set at 145psi when you receive it, but you can easily adjust the working pressure to whatever your first-stage puts out for easy breathing effort. There are lots of video on youtube showing how, it is standardized on most regulators. Dive shops will also adjust it more precisely for you, however they honestly may not touch this one because of the brand/cheapness. **Q: What is the hose ID (internal diameter)?** A: Not sure of spec. Standard scuba **Q: What is the thread type/size on the end of the hose, with the barbed fitting removed?** A: The thread type/size haven't use professional ruler to measure. It seems to be of sufficient quality for its intended use (which I HOPE and THINK isn't actual untethered SCUBA diving). It has a nice Korean hose and solidly attached fittings. The material is for the most part light weight. I would not trust my life or safety with it.
