It's padded just enough to give comfortable support without getting in the way of hand mobility. Easy to adjust and I like that it's black so I can wear it without it looking grungy after a couple days. My therapist recommended I get one to keep on hand for my other hand too. If you need a brace I would definitely give this one a try. It's a decent price and doesn't look as bad as some of the others out there.
