A: No, this glue does not expand.

**Q: how well does it work on balsa wood models?**
A: I use it for gluing basswood together for model railroad projects.  I would think it would be all right with balsa wood unless weight is a concern.

**Q: Does it dry clear?**
A: No, it is a light tan color.
