I bought it do do the door jambs, trunk and engine bay of a newer car I bought. I would never use it on the outer body before washing it first, then I would use a proper liquid carnauba wax instead. But it worked fine on the jambs after first wiping them down with a damp cloth. It cleans minor surface dirt without scratching the paint when using a microfiber cloth and leaves a nice film of wax that buffs easily. When on sale for $12.16, it is reasonably priced if you are using it on a small area, otherwise a gallon would be a much better deal. Any bad reaction due to salt?** A: I have had no reaction to salt residue. I will however say if the car is extremely dirty (like snowy highway driving) I would save some forearm abuse and give it a quick wash **Q: Can it be used on the headlights or tail lights?** A: Sure, to clean and wax them. Don't expect it to remove haze or anything though. As far as the previous mention of it having wax, well, I used to wax my car entirely, including lights. Just buff it off and all is good. It's not like eyeglasses or anything, as long as you clean it up, all is good. **Q: Can I use this to clean the fabric soft top of a convertible?** A: I don't know. I use it on my airplane, just metal and plastic. Since it has a wax in it, I'm not sure what that would do to a soft top. **Q: Will this work good on matte black paint?
