I think it was a good deal then, not so sure now. But it's a good sponge for sure, depending on what you want to do with it. I had a problem with my fridge for some time, there was ( a lot of) water accumulating at the bottom under the crisper/fruit drawer, maybe a 1/4 or 1/3 gallon over a few weeks. While trying to fix the problem permanently, I was also looking for a way to get rid of that water efficiently, without making a huge mess on the floor. That's why I ordered these sponges. I was really not sure when I received it, it seemed like it couldn't absorb or hold any water! Weird for a sponge, I thought. I'm happy I kept using them. So you have to know that it takes some time for the sponge to get its full absorption power. First soak it in water many times, leave it under water, wring it, soak it again, etc. Then you'll see it becomes indeed an highly absorbent sponge and it holds quite a lot of water. It's XL for sure, they are HUGE. What was taking me 15 minutes with a normal dish towel (and making a huge mess) is now taking me 2 minutes. I will also use it to wash my motorcycle in the summer, and for other cleaning jobs.
