Review: Sturdy and easy to fit - I needed a rack that could handle more than just a light jacket or a lunch box, as I use my bike for heavy grocery runs and the occasional camping trip. Most standard racks top out around 25kg, so the 80kg rating on this one immediately caught my eye. I was a little worried about fitting it to my hybrid because the frame geometry is a bit weird, but the adjustability on the legs and the sliding seat rail mount made it surprisingly easy to get it level. Once everything was tightened down, this thing felt bombproof. I loaded up two full pannier bags yesterday—probably pushing 30-35kg total with liquids—and there was absolutely no side-to-side sway or rattling, even when I hit a few potholes. It feels much more substantial than the flimsy aluminum one I replaced. If you need a workhorse rack that doesn't cost a fortune, this is a solid bet.

My saddle tends to sink over time which concerned me. Also, it makes the rack a lot higher than my previous one. However, I realised this is better as raising my panniers will mean that the bag does not interact with my feet whilst peddling now that it is higher. The rack can also be moved further back away from the saddle depending on where you want it. It is very sturdy and fully adjustable which is fantastic. The reason I said "BUT" in the headline is that the instructions for assembly are included online only (despite this being a requirement really) and because the instructions are not that clear in any case. Let's be honest, it isn't rocket science but it probably explains why others wrote poor reviews - either they didn't assemble it correctly or they bought it without checking it would fit their bike. However, it is well designed, adjustable and works brilliantly on my mountain bike.

**Q: Can it be mounted on a 14 inch bike? I am very short!**
A: It is retractable if goes down to a 14 inch bike I don’t know

**Q: My adult size bike has metal mudguards fitted.  Will this rack clear the mudguards?**
A: The rack is adjustable for height and it clears my 29" rear wheel and mudguard.

**Q: Is there any tail lights that works for this rack? Even just and attachment would be useful**
A: I use the Moon Nova 80+ Pulsar Set. It works fantastically with its rudder strap and doesn't move once attached. Hope this helps!

**Q: Hi, does this fit full suspension mountain bikes?**
A: Depending where the suspension and you could just attach to the seat post, but you may want to keep looking at other options

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value, but don't load it to its rating

It'll handle the weight centrally, but the rack's aluminium tubing is very weak and a well loaded pannier bag set will break it. I've broken two of these now like this and I think a steel rack would be a much better option. The mounting is solid, if prone to slippage, and the nuts lock properly without coming loose on long treks. Giving it a "80kg" rating is probably a lie, as a loading of just 35 kg caused mine to break.
