Review: Great clock with auto time set that works and large bright characters - These clocks are great. I have been trying to get a clock that automatically sets it's time, has large readable numbers, and is bright enough to be able to read in daylight (no necessarily in direct sunlight, but in indirect light in my greatroom that has a lot of windows). I have not had any luck until this clock. It is bright with large characters, and the time was automatically set as soon as I turned it on. I like them so much, i bought 6 of them. As a plus, their display also provides the date and the indoor temp. $22 is a very good price for clocks that work this well.

**Q: Is this an atomic or skyscan that sets from satelite?e**
A: The respondent Cliff is correct, and IMHO he deserves credit for repeatedly trying to set the record straight. This thing is essentially a hotel room alarm clock that is factory pre-programmed with the time and date in the US Eastern time zone. The 2032 battery holds the programming so that when it is plugged into a power source, it comes alive with the date and time, which in my case was 2 minutes fast. I'm assuming it also has the dates of future DST changeovers programmed into it, but it does not pull down time signals from the atomic clock or any other source. The second paragraph of the Instructions, headed "How does the autoset technology works [sic]? says as much for anyone who cares to take the time to read it.

**Q: Is this product any good?**
A: Yes, very good! I got it for my daughter. It automatically keeps up with the time, just like our cell phones. The alarm works great. I recommend it.

**Q: how long is the power cord?**
A: Power cord is 5 feet long.

**Q: Can it turn off for 10 minutes and go back on. And still have the battery, will it charge?**
A: All I can say is that we had a short few minute power out and with other old digital clocks, I had to reset the clock. This clock wasn’t affected and I believe it is because the extra battery is the instant backup. Hope that helps.

These clocks are great. My new favorite bedroom clock. It sits on a dresser and can be read from anywhere in our fairly large bedroom. The display is large and readable. Dimming is fully adjustable and it is readable without being bright when dimmed. Best of all, it auto adjusts to the correct time. We just had a power outage for 6 hours and it came right back to the correct time. We don't use the alarm, but the setting is simple using the buttons on the back.
