The BIG BIG DIFFERENCE that jumped out at me is this now has Ketoconazole at 0.9% in it. I have been historically using the blue version and using Nizoral Ketoconazole shampoo twice a week (marketed for dandruff at $14 per bottle and available at target) which is typically used as the only ingredient in lots of expensive hair loss shampoos out there! So Pura D' Or has taken my advice!...and have added a very important ingredient to this mix. Also it has added Alma oil, Prunus Africana bark and Cucubita Pepo herbs that the blue bottle does not have. **Q: Does this shampoo make your hair hard to comb through or staticky?** A: It is not the shampoo but the lack of silicones. I thought it was the shampoo also until I tried a few shampoos without silicones and they did the same thing to my hair. I love that this shampoo helped so much with my hairloss. I always use the conditioner and sometimes a leave in, if needed. Sulfonate is related to but not the same as sulfates. In a sulfonate the sulfur is linked direct to a carbon atom where as a sulfate is linked directly to the carbon chain via an oxygen atom. They do have similar qualities when it comes to propensity of being irritating to the skin but sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate is not a sulfate. **Q: Does this shampoo works on Bald spot ? How long needs to be used for hair growth on bald spot?** A: Ketoconazole is commonly perscribed for dandruff/dermatitis, but its is also perscribed to prevent hairloss/promote growth because its a mild DHT blocker. Its is one of the big 3 when it comes to battling hairloss- finasteride, minoxidil, and ketoconazole. Prescription strength is 2%, over the counter is 1%, as found in this shampoo. Many of the other ingedients are purported to have benefits to scalp health, dht blocking, or stimulating folicles, but generally lack scientific studies to back such claims.
