The cable plugged directly into the Dell monitor and the sound bar attached magnetically. Not theater sound quality but it works well for online videos. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent not great *by R***E on April 10, 2022* Basic sound, not good if your planning on playing music, it won't sound good, ok for audio Books and you tube etc ### ⭐⭐⭐ Basic soundbar that looks good and works, that is it. *by A***R on June 28, 2026* Recently swapped out a Dell monitor with an AC511 soundbar for a new monitor that wasn't compatible, so I ordered the SB521 instead. PROS: Magnetic mounting makes installation incredibly easy. The compact form factor keeps the setup looking clean. It's plug-and-play; I had no issues getting sound output. CONS: That small form factor comes with a tradeoff. The sound isn't very loud, and the audio quality is mediocre (it honestly does sound like a tin can/concert hall). At around $40 new, I don't think it's a good value—this feels more like a $25 soundbar, and that includes the Dell name tax. For my needs and maybe yours, it gets the job done: it outputs sound, and if I want better audio, I'll just use my headphones. Judged purely on its intended purpose, I'd give it a 4/5. However, compared to the older AC511, it falls short in sound quality and overall value. Because of that, my overall rating is 3/5. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dell SB521A Sound Bar Speaker - 3.60 W RMS - Dell 24 Monitor - P2422H - Full HD 1080p, IPS Technology, ComfortView Plus Technology - Logitech C920x HD Pro Webcam, Full HD 1080p/30fps Video, Clear Audio, HD Light Correction, PC Camera Webcam, Works with Skype, Zoom, Facetime, PC, Laptop, Mac, Tablet - Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/248509560-monitor-soundbar-sb521a-usb-magnetic-mount](https://www.desertcart.us/products/248509560-monitor-soundbar-sb521a-usb-magnetic-mount) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
