This is a wood and brass short starter that nicely matches the furniture on my mid-80s T/C Hawken. This item is going to last darned near forever, unless you lose it or something.As another reviewer stated, the only material difference between the "deluxe" version and the regular is the palm saver.If I had a nit, it would be this: there is a lanyard stud on the ball as well. So yes, a good thing to keep your gear together, but it's in kind of an odd spot and tends to get in the way when I'm using this to start a bullet. But that's a minor thing.
