The hotter the better, as the bumper guards are more flexible and adhere better when warm. Also, removing the BumpTek RP series is easier when the temperature is hot outside. To remove simply pull back slowly - if product does not pull off easily use a hair dryer to warm the product or park in direct sun to warm the product. If you are having difficulty lifting the edge of the product I would recommend using a piece of dental floss.Cold Climate Installation and Removal TipsDuring the cold months when the outside temperature is below <60 degree F, it is best to install the bumper guards indoors (in a heated space). keep the bumper guards indoors until ready to use. For installation below 60 degrees you may need to use a hairdryer or heater to warm the product and/or vehicle surface. Note: The bumper guards get stiffer as the weather gets colder, so removal may be more difficult. A hairdryer can be used to warm the product, which makes removal easier. Doesn't make care look weird. Blends in. I got the small bumper and my car is a Mini. Fits just right for the size of my car. Make sure you get the right size bumper for your car or it will look out of place.Must be careful when applying. You have to be pretty sure where you want it to be. Because once you put it on you really can't take it off and put it somewhere else. Doesn't harm the paint but it's strong sticky backing makes it difficult to pull off. I got about 1% on then rethought about it. Pulled it off (it was difficult, but able to do so) and relocated it to proper position that I liked. The company talked about 1st putting masking tape/painters tape below the area you want it to go, then applying the bumper to the region above it. I eye-balled the area I wanted it to be at. Then put green painter's tape on that area. Then I applied blue painter's tape to the region below this. Pulled the green painter's tape off, then applied the bumper to where the blue painter tape was. With the green painter's tape to act as a "guide" and make straight lines when appling the bumper. Sounds confusing but really not. You can apply it any way you want. This is what I did and am happy with the results and look of it. My friends didn't even notice they were there. Like I said, unobtrusive. No major body work, but i couln't help but think if i had something like these on, maybe the space they create would have saved my new car that cold rainy day. Anywho, she paid to get it fixed, and i figured the $50 for these is worth it to avoid the possibilty of another fender bender.Application is a breeze, BUT PLANNING IS CRUCIAL. you have to think, where am I most likely to need the protection these offer. by thinking it out you can maximize the protection your getting. these wont save you from a texting teen or a carelessly swinging hand bag, but if placed correctly can make all the difference. the material is sturdy and the adhesives hold up well.
