## Overview

The Wera 7430 Micro Torque Screwdriver delivers ultra-precise torque control from 0.10 to 0.34 Nm with 0.015 Nm increments, enhanced by an attachable magnifier for easy reading. Featuring a tactile and audible signal at exact torque, ±6% DIN EN ISO 6789 calibrated accuracy, and Rapidaptor quick-release for fast bit changes, it’s engineered for professionals demanding flawless micro-assembly performance.

## Description

The smallest fasteners demand the finest control, and a standard torque screwdriver's scale is often too coarse to read or trust at this range. The Wera 7430 covers 0.10 to 0.34 Nm in 0.015 Nm increments — fine enough for micro-electronics, optics, watchmaking, and other work where even a fraction of a newton-meter matters. To make those fine increments actually usable, an attachable magnifying glass fits onto the scale, dramatically improving readability so you can set and verify your torque with confidence rather than guessing at a blurred line. When you reach the pre-set value, a distinct audible and tactile signal tells you to stop, and the tool is calibrated to ±6% accuracy per the DIN EN ISO 6789 standard — so the number on the scale is a verified figure. The Rapidaptor quick-release chuck accepts standard 1/4"" hex bits, letting you swap bits in seconds without disturbing your torque setting. The compact 89mm Kraftform handle combines hard and soft zones for fast, comfortable work in a size suited to close, detailed assembly. For applications where precise, repeatable low-end torque control matters more than raw power, this is Wera's finest-graduated adjustable torque screwdriver.

## Features

- SEE THE FINEST SETTINGS CLEARLY: An attachable magnifying glass fits right onto the scale, making the 0.015 Nm graduations easy to read and set with confidence.
- PRECISE CONTROL FROM 0.10 TO 0.34 NM: Set the exact torque by hand for the smallest, most delicate fasteners, with no special tools needed for adjustment.
- KNOW EXACTLY WHEN YOU'VE HIT TORQUE: A distinct audible and tactile signal fires the moment your pre-set value is reached, so you stop guessing and start driving with confidence.
- CALIBRATED ACCURACY YOU CAN TRUST: Measurement accuracy is ±6% per the DIN EN ISO 6789 standard, giving you repeatable, verifiable results at the lowest torque range.
- RAPIDAPTOR QUICK-RELEASE BIT CHANGE: Swap 1/4" hex bits in seconds without disturbing your torque setting, keeping delicate micro-assembly work moving.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: With the Pre-Set Adjustable Torque Range models, where do I specify the Pre-Set? Or do I have to purchase an additional Torgue Guage to set it?**
A: The name will throw you. Pay attention to the number series of the product. I believe the 746X series is what I bought and returned them because I wanted something I could set externally and reset frequently. I had to pay restocking fees and shipping because it was my mistake. I bought two of them, believing them to be "adjustable." I believe Pre-set Adjustable means you open them up and set them with a wrench to a numbered value inside and close them back up for a couple weeks/months/years. Later you can set a different torque. They are not for making frequent adjustments to the torque value. I immediately bought the other kind they make (Models: 7445; 7446 and 7447) that can be set by twisting a part of the handle to a specific torque value. The smaller models adjust in half inch-pound increments. Just be certain to set them to their lowest value before you put them away. They were exactly what I wanted and I use them all the time working on firearms. All Wera's torque drivers are great.

**Q: What is the difference between the variable and set torques (other than obvious) Opinions on which better?**
A: Obvious is correct but purpose is for efficiency. If you have to do a large number of fasteners to same torque, using set torque is great because you don't have check it. Just clicks when torque reached. Variable is helful in dignosis if needed such as finding out what torqued someone used. Valuable if yo want to torque something and don't know, so you check existing and put back as found

**Q: Does this come with a certificate of calibration**
A: Yes, it should. Mine came with a certificate of calibration signed in ballpoint pen by someone with very neat handwriting.

**Q: Which torque range would be ideal for installing interior door hardware?**
A: I don't really have a good answer for that. I have been in construction engineering for almost 40 years and not been aware of torque specs for door hardware unless it is something special, then the manufactures specifications would govern. Depending what you are going into, if you are going into wood you would increase the length of your fasteners to increase holding power. Going into metal, thicknesses of material and weight of whatever you are fastening would be factors. But generally the manufacturer will provide a procedure and specification.
