Review: Genuine product - Good product ‼️ Review: Porc Rillettes - I have always been a great lover of pork and duck rillettes and as a retired restauranteur I do know what I am talking about. There is nothing special about this variety and I cannot recommend it but don’t let that put you off rillettes. They are absolutely classic French cuisine and I know of no British manufacturer, although during my last restaurant ownership I found a wholesale grocer who had them on his list and I used to buy them and they proved to be a successful item on the menu. As a rule, very few customers knew what they were but we had an adventurous crew so on my recommendation they would try them and they were always delighted with the flavours. The main reason it is not a British favourite is that rillettes are finely chopped fatty pork, slow roasted and finished off with pork lard from the roasting of the meat and not therefore appealing to anyone too health conscious.
