I own a few cheap portable bluetooth speakers shaped like a mini can of coke but never really liked them due to their inconvenient shape, and their very poor battery life. I heard about this particular one because my brother from another mother named Flossy highly recommended it. I was in search of one to carry with me while traveling around in my wheelchair that was easy to carry around, could fit in my pocket, has good battery life, and hopefully great sound. The Timo Bengal meets and exceeds all my needs and I am very happy with my purchase.I tested the MicroSD slot using a Silicon Power 128gb Micro SDXC card. I loaded it halfway full of 320kbps MP3's. The speaker lets out an audible voice confirmation when you either go into bluetooth pairing mode (both for ready to pair and when connection is paired), or MicroSD card mode. I really like this feature and find it very classy. The sound performance in both modes is top notch. It is a very loud speaker, and the sound has no distortion even at maximum volume. The max volume is actually too loud for a close comfortable experience so I turned it down a bit while using it. I played music continuously for about 6hrs before I was done using it. I haven't tested the actual battery capacity but it was at full performance at the 6 hour mark.I was also able to pair this speaker with my Samsung Galaxy S4 using the NFC feature, and I'm sure it will work with any phone with NFC capabilities.This speaker is crafted very well, the exterior metal casing with hard rubber accents are very durable and it both looks and feels like a quality item. The purchase price under $30 seems like a steal for this speaker. Heavy, but is pretty loud, and has so okay bass for its size. Have had any major issues. It on rare occasions can have it a Bluetooth connection inferred with by other devices, WiFi drops on from Pandora, or I'd you block them with your body--a little choppy behavior. But, it plays good in the pocket. Haven't use the Micro SD card system yet. Good--purchase decision after listening to YouTube audio reviewer :"Flossy Carter. "UPDATE: As of 11/21/16, This Bluetooth unit went down the drain ! No longer stays connected in bluetooth, or aux in mode ! Connects for about a few seconds or a minute. Then loses it connection, annoying voice prompt continuously yelling out ; "Now in bluetooth mode !!! Nows in aux in mode !!! Now in bluetooth mode !!! Nows in aux in mode !!! Etc, Etc!!! " Was expecting more that just months of normal usage! After experiencing 2 other bluetooth speaker failures of different generic brands. All sold on Amazon. I am under the impression that some of these units are actually designed to "self-destruct" over a short period of time !!! As a paying Amazon prime customer, I'am starting to find it aggravating !!! At least, the other 2 manufacturers I directly dealt with replaced the defective units that ither broke down immediately, or became defective over short peroid of time...I have never experienced any problems with Sony, JVC, Canon, JBL, Samsung brand name products..All my Sony cameras function properly as they did when I first purchased them...Some are as old as 2009-2014...No problems, never man-handled, or "abused".End of REVIEW...Annoyed Amazon prime customer! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product *by D***H on Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2016* I have taken this unit on two trips. It is fairly compact and fits nicely in a briefcase. The sound is amazing - good base, reasonable treble. There is no significant distortion at louder listening volumes. The bluetooth feature is seamless. I have used it both with my ipod and my iphone. The sound is excellent.
