I’d recommend setting it up to your personal preference if you have the know-how. If you’re a beginner, this is a great first guitar for you. Only thing I’d recommend for you new players is get new strings!! The ones that are on the guitar are okay but I found them to be very “sticky” and didn’t have much give as far as sliding up the neck to a different fret. Adjusting the truss rod is easy and painless, so if the action is an issue for you, you can always adjust that, but I found the height of the action was great right out of the box. The electronics on the guitar work great with no issues. Obviously quality control is lacking but overall this guitar is great looking, no major issues in woodwork. My friends have all said it looks and sounds amazing for the price and I can attest to that as well having owned nice Martins, Fenders, etc. etc. As far as longevity goes, we will see as I lead worship for my church and intend to use this guitar as my main instrument.
