Given the age of that operating system, our choices were limited in video cards that support Windows XP.I bought the VisionTek ATi Radeon 7000 64 MB DDR2 PCI Graphics Card 900029. The card inserted in the PCI slot with no issue and the drivers installed from the included disc without incident.The video card has two ports on it – one is a VGA port and the other is a DVI port. The video card includes an adapter so that you can connect a VGA cable to the DVI port if you need to. We’ve tested it both ways successfully.The clerk has been using this card with dual monitors for several weeks now and it has worked very well for her. When we tried to install it into a PCI slot, the computer wouldn't recognize it. So, after spending some time researching why it wouldn't work, I ordered a PCI Express to PCI Adapter card in February, 2013 and tried installing it in the computer's PCI Express slot. That worked like a charm! Unfortunately, when we upgraded his operating system to Windows 7 from XP yesterday (02/26/13), Windows 7 didn't recognize the card! When I called Vision Tek, they said the VisionTek ATi Radeon 7000 card isn't compatible with any operating system past XP. This information wasn't outlined anywhere on Amazon's site!!! My time and financial investment has proven fruitless, and Amazon's return window is closed!
