Review: Doesn't form rubber - Left a drop on paper to see how long it takes to vulcanize at room temperature. It has been 18 hrs and this stuff (whatever it is) is still greasy and sticks to fingers ! This is not not I wanted. Very bad product. I need the seller intervention to verify what he has given me is genuine from USA OR a rejected item.

I had to add coolant after replacing the water pump to move my car and park it. Then I left the car to sit for 24 hours so the sealant can cure. Good value and good quality worth the money.

**Q: Can this be used alongside a pre cut paper gasket?**
A: That's how I used it. Placed a thin film on metal surface to fill in scratches and a thin coat on the paper gasket and all is well.

**Q: Is this a good thread sealer on a pipe fitting on and aluminum water pump?**
A: Yes but let it cure overnight for best results. If you don't have the time make sure everything is dry and at least let it sit for a few hours without getting wet.

**Q: Safe for potable water like in dishwasher?**
A: No. PermaTex states it is not safe. Look for a food grade sealant

The Silicon sealant works good, so far there's no coolant leaks from the water pump. I had to add coolant after replacing the water pump to move my car and park it. Then I left the car to sit for 24 hours so the sealant can cure. Good value and good quality worth the money.

Read the instructions before you buy. I want to put it on the water pump as extra security and crank it up straight away. I will do anyway,however I thought it might cool to point it out.
