Review: Received a defective unit (update review) - Plugged the battery into the parent unit went on and after a few seconds made a weird sound and the screen faded until it went black. Plugged the unit to charge it but there is no charging indicator light whatsoever. Contacted both VTech and desertcart for support. Will update with the outcome. UPDATE: I reached out to desertcart customer support, since I live overseas, they offered me two options; first contact Vtech directly and if they didn’t offered a solution, they would help me out. After contacting Vetch via mail, they sent me some questions and asking for other stuff, they sent me a new package at no charge. So far the monitor and camera works great! It has really good image quality and has basic functions, just what my wife wanted.

**Q: Are batteries on both, parent unit and baby unit recharchable? Can it be used via direct power?**
A: Hi - Only the parent unit has a rechargeable battery. The baby unit of the VM3252 has to be plugged in to power at all times to work. Thank you!

**Q: Does the white noise have a timer?**
A: Hi - The lullaby plays for 30 minutes and stops automatically.  Thank you for your interest!

**Q: Can you turn off the loud beep that it makes when you adjust the sound buttons on the parent control?**
A: Kathleen - No, the beep on the VTech VM3252 that can be heard while adjusting the parent unit volume can't be turned off. Thank you!

**Q: Why does the charging light not shut on the monitor after adequate amount of charge time ?**
A: Barbara - The charge light on the VTech VM320 will stay on as long as the parent unit is plugged in to the AC power. Thank you!
