I bought it for the scent and it is nice and goes on smooth. I would look at O'Keefe for cracks. **Q: Okay, so does this lotion smell like patchouli, or is the patchouli overpowered by other scents?** A: I can smell the patchouli when I first use the lotion--it's strong. Then it fades a bit as the day goes on. My husband can smell it on me when we go to bed at night, but I can't by then. I also dabble in essential oils so I'm very familiar with the smell of patchouli. **Q: Does this have an expiration date?** A: Yes. The last bottle I bought, maybe last winter, has an expiration date 10/20. I usually go through two bottles a year,I can't imagine it would go bad even after the expiration date. **Q: Is it non-comedogenic?** A: I love this product and have purchased it many times. It did not clog my pores or create blemishes for me. I did not use this on my face though, just as a body lotion.
