As a project-oriented home-owner and small portfolio property manager, it's a great tool to be able to put notes on things when I want to. Most recently, for instance, I used it for my hardware bins - so convenient! This one has plenty of fonts and font sizes so you can customize more to your taste ... arguably more of a complexity and novelty than necessity. I'm very pleased my old ribbons work on the new machine, as these "consumables" are costly. I had gotten used to having one, forcing this replacement.
