We did not realize that they are passive and do not work like the others.These are good at what they do - which is SIGNIFICANTLY reduce loud noises and if you have a smaller child that hate fireworks, or loud noises at concerts and other noisy events these will do a GREAT JOB of protecting their hearing.But they do not quite feel like the same quality as the active model either. With that said, they are super inexpensive and are made by Peltor who I trust implicitly to protect my child's hearing.I would recommend the Peltor Sport Youth Hearing Protection, NRR 22, Black, Great for Shooting Range, Hunting, Loud Events, Quiet, Studying IF AND ONLY IF you are only going to occasionally need hearing protection, or if you simply cannot afford better.Otherwise, I would recommend Peltor's active noise canceling protection which is AMAZING and lowers loud sounds while allowing you to hear normal conversation as if nothing at all was being muffled. Thank you for reading. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very comfortable and sized perfectly for a 6 year old all the way to a small adult *by T***I on Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2022* I have always really like Peltor hearing protection products. This must be a new product because I did not see this available in the past when I was looking for child sized hearing protection. Because I could not find a Peltor, I bought some off branded ones that worked but you could ovbiously see they weren't of the same quality. My kids quickly outgrew those and I was forced to buy some others. The next brand I chose was Walker's (which makes some decent products) but the kids, and I for that matter, didn't find them comfortable. I felt the band was too constricting and after a short period of time, I felt like it was crushing my head. I thought this was just because my head was larger, but even the kids complained about them after wearing them for a short time.This pair is completely different. The headband has just enough compression to keep the muffs in place without putting too much pressure on your head. The muffs themselves are dished so that your ears rest inside them comfortable without being pressed inside.
