The clip part is easy to unlock and lock. Great value for your money ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for what I need but not strong - correction *by J***S on March 29, 2024* These are lightweight - material and design. I want them for temporarily closing latches that I don't need real secure. I would not depend on them to take much real stress though. Beside "utility" type temporary use I was going to use them to run rope/cord through to hold down cargo in my trailer. They would be fine to put light to medium stress on but not bigger. Or to hold electric extensions, or light tools, or keys, etc. they would be fine. The aluminum appears relatively soft. The locking part works but doesn't appear very strong. OK for right use.I totally misspoke about these carabiners. Somehow I was thinking of different products that I bought elsewhere. These are stainless steel, NOT aluminum. And, the stainless steel looks and feels like high quality steel with a high polish. And, they are reasonably strong. Well made with a long proven design. The weak points on a carabiner like this is the pin holding the folding piece, and, the mating notched other end of the clip . I can't determine how well this will stand up on these but I don't have any reason to doubt they will do well. The superior fit and finish on these do make me feel they will be stronger than I may have sounded above. I would recommend them for light use.
