Review: Great for up the stairs, where there are no plugs - Great for places with no plugs nearby. Indoor use only though. Warm lights when powered by the battery pack, not sure the battery life yet, but three AAs shoudl last a fair while. The lights looks good. Very easy to use - choice of always on , flashing or off. The switch is a little delicate though to be warned.For the price very happy.

**Q: How do I access the 'steady' mode on these lights.  At the moment they are 'flashing'**
A: The switch has three settings.  On, Flashing and Steady. The flashing state is the middle point on the switch, the far opposite to off is the Steady state. It's quite stiff though so it wasn't obvious and was easily missed

**Q: Can anyone verify on here if you have used these lights outside please? I want to wrap them around a balcony so need to be weather proof. Thanks.**
A: Probably way too late to answer this question for you but.   No they are not designed for outdoor use. Although Battery operated the battery pack does not have any seals on it to make it water tight. Although unlikely it is possible that water and certainly condensation would get into the battery pack and the circuit board. The instructions also say that they are indoor use only. I will say though i have a different set of lights with the same battery pack and that's been outside working happily for over a month in horrendous rain and snow without a problem.

**Q: How do you open to put in batteries I can’t open?**
A: I found this virtually impossible, ended up breaking the case accidentally. Managed to keep subsequent batteries in place using tape but they didn't last long and the stars didn't shine very well either. Ended up throwing it away.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty and effective although the snowflakes aren't glued on so they can fall off if tangled.

Very pretty, battery operated and effective for festive lighting. We draped ours on the bannister and it looked great for Christmas. The only complaint is that the snowflakes weren't glued on, so if they tangle (as ours did) and you pull to untangle then they can fall off. We have managed to push them back on but they don't look quite as they did before. Overall, pretty, effective and inexpensive.
