Review: Very quiet at low speeds - I bought these to replace conventional 1800 RPM exhaust fans. I run them at half speed and they are very quiet. I disassembled the unit, mounting the motor, fan, and cage into the existing wall-mounted louvers. The fan cage bolted into the same fasteners as the old fan, so installation was a breeze. I did not use the louvers, but they looked to be good quality. I like the fact that the speed control remembers what speed is programmed if power is removed. I have the fan controlled by a wall switch, and treat the speed control as set-and-forget.

**Q: Can the fan be operated manually?**
A: If, by "manually", you mean directly from the fan itself, then no. However, there is an option to manually control the speed using the included controller rather than (or in addition to) the temperature and humidity triggers. Also worth noting that plugging the fan in without the controller connected will turn the fan on to the previously set speed.

**Q: Does this fan come apart so a screen can be installed on the outside behind the outer shutters? I want to prevent bugs from getting in. Thank you**
A: Yes. The fan and motor are mounted to the shutters with four small bolts. You can remove the fan from the shutters and reattach it after you install the screen.

**Q: Will this fan seal tight for cold weather, and do they make a hood to fit the fan.**
A: No, it doesn't seal very tightly. I made a cover out of foam that I place on the outside when not in use to keep cold air out (and water and bugs). I am happy with my purchase. The fan works well to vent my workshop. I did have to build a box around it as the sides are not deep enough for my 2x4 framed walls plus drywall and siding.

**Q: Where can I purchase a second fan to connect to the controller?**
A: Apparently they don’t sell just the fan. You’d need to buy another set and just use the fan part.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Black damper fins do not fully close.

I had to take the black air fins off and use a set from 40 year old exhaust fan because these things stay half way open when the fan turns off. Fan works well otherwise after one month of use.
